Die inzwischen weit verbreitete Stereoadaptionen der Sony P200
(siehe z.B.
|
The stereo assembly of the meanwhile widespread Sony P200
(please see RBT or
van Ekeren)
also allow the shooting of mpg movie sequences.
The shooting format is just only 640x480 pixel, but anyhow,
it's progressive with 30 frames per second - enough to keep
the one or other holyday souvenir "moved".
A storage card of 2x1 GByte allows the shooting of about 12-13
minutes 3D-movie. This is an infomation density of
0.16 Byte per movie pixel (1024*1024*1024/12*60*30*480*640).
For comparison: a Mini-DV (25Mbit/s) stores 60 minutes PAL-Video
(720x576 pixel with 25 frames per second) with the need of 11 GByte.
That gives 0.316 Byte per movie pixel (11*1024*1024*1024/60*60*25*576*720), thus a two times higher information density with a somewhat larger images format.
Nevertheless, a try is worthwhile and needs only
a handful of software steps and here is a brief recipe how to produce a
3D-video with the P200:
|
1. Zerlegung der Filmsequenzen in Einzelbilder
- 1.1 Programm TMPGEnc verwenden, entzippen und starten.
- 1.2 Wizard gegebenenfalls abbrechen.
- 1.4 File - Output to file - Sequence BMP/PPM/TGA/JPG file
-
1.5 Directory - c:\cosima\l\ (nur Vorschlag)
Dateiname - myname_l (nach Belieben)
Dateityp - Sequence BMP file(*.bmp) - Speichern
- 1.7 File - Output to file - Sequence BMP/PPM/TGA/JPG file
-
1.8 Directory - c:\cosima\r\ (nur Vorschlag)
Dateiname - myname_r (nach Belieben)
Dateityp - Sequence BMP file(*.bmp) - Speichern
- 1.10 File - Output to file - WAV file
-
1.11 Directory - c:\cosima\ (nur Vorschlag)
Dateiname - myname (nach Belieben)
Dateityp - Sequence WAV file(*.wav) - Speichern
- 1.12 TMPGEnc beenden.
|
1. Separation of the movie sequences into single images
- 1.1 We use the program TMPGEnc, unzip and start.
- 1.2 Cancel the wizard.
- Separate at first the left movie into the path \l\:
- 1.3 Video source - Browse - leftmovie.mpg - Open
- 1.4 File - Output to file - Sequence BMP/PPM/TGA/JPG file
-
1.5 Directory - c:\cosima\l\ (only suggestion)
File name - myname_l (as you like)
File type - Sequence BMP file(*.bmp) - Store
Result: myname_l-0000000.bmp up to myname_l-9999999.bmp
- Then separate the right movie into the path \r\:
- 1.6 Video source - Browse - rightmovie.mpg - Open
- 1.7 File - Output to file - Sequence BMP/PPM/TGA/JPG file
-
1.8 Directory - c:\cosima\r\ (only suggestion)
File name - myname_r (as you like)
File type - Sequence BMP file(*.bmp) - Store
Result: myname_r-0000000.up to bis myname_r-9999999.bmp
- 1.9 Please check: in the sub directories
c:\cosima\l\ and c:\cosima\r\ the same number of images must exist!
Furthermore no time differences should be noticeable!
- And please don't forget the sound:
- 1.10 File - Output to file - WAV file
-
1.11 Directory - c:\cosima\ (only suggestion)
File name - myname (as you like)
File type - Sequence WAV file(*.wav) - Store
- 1.12 Exit TMPGEnc.

2. Bilder cosimieren
-
2.1 Für einen Anaglyphenfilm:
% === video_p200_anaglyph.ini ===
CosimaVersion = 0.9d
InputMode = 3
RotMirInputLeft = 2
LeftRightOutput = 0
StereoOutput = 0
AnaglyphOutput = 2
OutputHeight = 480
OutputWidth = 640
ForceSize = 1
% ===============================
-
2.2 Für die CoBox (Ekeren-Viewer):
% === video_p200_cobox.ini ===
CosimaVersion = 0.9d
InputMode = 3
RotMirInputLeft = 2
LeftRightOutput = 0
StereoOutput = 2
AnaglyphOutput = 0
RotMirOutputRight = 4
OutputHeight = 480
OutputWidth = 640
ForceSize = 1
FillHeight = 1024
FillWidth = 1280
% ===============================
-
2.3 Für die Beamer (falls 1024x768):
% === video_p200_beamer.ini ===
CosimaVersion = 0.9d
InputMode = 3
RotMirInputLeft = 2
LeftRightOutput = 0
StereoOutput = 2
AnaglyphOutput = 0
OutputHeight = 480
OutputWidth = 640
ForceSize = 1
FillHeight = 768
FillWidth = 1024
% ===============================
- 2.4 Cosima starten und einen Kaffee trinken gehen.
Eine Sekunde 3D-Video benötigt etwa 1 Minute CPU Zeit.
Wer will, kann die Bilder auch hochskalieren
(aber besser werden sie davon auch nicht).
Ergebnis nach Cosima: \cs\myname_l-0000000.bmp bis \cs\myname_l-9999999.bmp
(Linker Name wird 1:1 übernommen, kein "_cs", "_ca" usw. für
unmittelbare Weiterverarbeitung mit TMPGEnc/VirtualDub etc.)
|
2. Cosimation of the images
You have to edit your cosima.ini.
Attention, for the later encoding process, the number of pixel must
be divisible in both directions by 16.
In the following, there are only changes to the default values given.
If parameters are failing, Cosima takes their default values and asks
shortly after the start for a confirmation (if StopAtError = 1).
-
2.1 For producing an anaglyph movie:
% === video_p200_anaglyph.ini ===
CosimaVersion = 0.9d
InputMode = 3
RotMirInputLeft = 2
LeftRightOutput = 0
StereoOutput = 0
AnaglyphOutput = 2
OutputHeight = 480
OutputWidth = 640
ForceSize = 1
% ===============================
-
2.2 For using the Cobox (Ekeren-Viewer):
% === video_p200_cobox.ini ===
CosimaVersion = 0.9d
InputMode = 3
RotMirInputLeft = 2
LeftRightOutput = 0
StereoOutput = 2
AnaglyphOutput = 0
RotMirOutputRight = 4
OutputHeight = 480
OutputWidth = 640
ForceSize = 1
FillHeight = 1024
FillWidth = 1280
% ===============================
-
2.3 For the beamers (if 1024x768):
% === video_p200_beamer.ini ===
CosimaVersion = 0.9d
InputMode = 3
RotMirInputLeft = 2
LeftRightOutput = 0
StereoOutput = 2
AnaglyphOutput = 0
OutputHeight = 480
OutputWidth = 640
ForceSize = 1
FillHeight = 768
FillWidth = 1024
% ===============================
- 2.4 Start Cosima and go for a cup of coffee. For
1 second movie, you will need about 1 minute processing time.
If you like, you can of course scale-up the images, but doing this,
they won't got more details anyway.
Result after the Cosimation: \cs\myname_l-0000000.bmp up to \cs\myname_l-9999999.bmp
(The left name will taken 1:1, no "_cs", "_ca" and so on will be added,
this is necessary for the further processing with TMPGEnc / VirtualDub etc.)

5. Player
- - Automatisch abspielen
- - WinLRC nicht benutzen
- - Video pausieren bei Mausklick
- - History deaktivieren
- - Hauptfenster automatisch verstecken
- - Datei nach Ende des Films schliessen
- - Prozessorpriorität Hoch (bei Vorführung)
- - mit avi und mpg verknüpfen
- Einstellungen Video:
- - Immer im Vollbildmode starten
- - Rahmenloses Videofenster
- - Originale Videogröße im Vollbild
- - Video Fenster Position nicht merken
- - Deaktiviere OSD!
- - VideoAusgabe: Auf vertikale Sync warten
- - YV12 nicht deaktivieren
- Einstellungen Video:
- - Untertitel deaktivieren
(3.7 MByte)!

5. Player
Player to your choice - principally every player can be used.
I made fine experiences with the free (personal use)
BSPlayer. (For double stream videos
you may try the Stereoscopic Player,
which supports dual core CPUs.)
Supplement: The last completely free version of the BSPlayer is version 131.819
(therefore try to get this version, e.g. at http://www.codec-download.de, search there for
'BSPlayer',
or buy the new full version BSPlayer PRO).
Here is a configuration recommendation for the
BSPlayer:
- Preferences General and File types:
- - Repeat off (main window)
- - Auto play
- - Don't use WinLRC
- - Pause movie on single click
- - Disable history
- - Auto hide main window
- - Close file when finished
- - Processor priority high (for performances)
- - register extensions avi and mpg
- Preferences Video:
- - Always start in full screen mode
- - Borderless play window
- - Don't resize video in full screen
- - Don't remember movie window position
- - Disable OSD!
- - Video rendering: Wait for vertical blank
- - Don't disable YV12 format
- Preferences Subtitles:
- - Subtitles disabled
A double click on the avi- or mpg-file then starts the 3D-video. Enjoy!
A short example scenery (narrow-gauge steam engine in the middle of the town)
can be downloaded here
(3.7 MByte)!
