PreViewerActive (/RV=0)

Range of values [0,1]
Activates the Cosima Image PreViewer.
If set to "1", a left-right separated preview image will be displayed before the image analysis.
The Cosima Image PreViewer can be used for small image rotation (up to +-5°).
The rotations must be performed before doing the image analysis, because the non-correctable residual errors are lower then.
For larger size errors, it is favourable to match also the scalings to make it easier for Cosima to find the initial image corrections.
To compare image elements of the left and right image, the reference lines and the whole images can be moved.

Control elements of the Cosima Image PreViewer:
  • In the Tweak Bar, a click onto the F-symbol changes the fontsize.
  • In der Tweak Bar, a click onto the V-Symbol reduces the Tweak Bar window to an icon.

For displaying the postview image, the Cosima PostViewer will be used.
Setting this parameter to "2", the postview image will be announced on the screen with a signal tone.
The Cosima Image PostViewer is used for the exact choice of the cutting and the stereo window setting under stereoscopic evaluation.
As display methods either an anaglyph image or in the presence of a passive polarization monitor an interlaced image can be used.
An adjustment of converging lines and a phantogram correction is also possible under stereoscopic viewing conditions.

Control elements of the Cosima Image PostViewer:
  • In the Tweak Bar, a click onto the F-symbol changes the fontsize.

MaxViewerSize (/MV=1280)

Range of values [100-32767]
Sets the maximum window width of the Cosima PostViewers and the Cosima Video Previewer, helpful with very large monitors.

MetaTransfer (/MT=1)

Range of values [0,1,2]
With the help of the external program exiftool.exe the META informationen of jpg and tif-images (also mpo) can be transferred into the resulting images. With left/right separated originals, for the anaglyph and the stereo output image, the META information of the right image is used. To avoid display errors using some smart graphic software, the Exif:Orientation-entry of the left resulting image is always copied from the right original image. The program exiftool.exe has to be stored into the same path as cosima.exe. It is included in the Cosima installer.
0: META transfer is deactivated.
1: EXIF, IPTC, XMP ans ICC data are transferred.
2: as 1, additionally, the file creation time and the file creation time are set to the EXIF time.
Attention: No transfer of XMP information and ICC color profiles into MPO files.

DotsPerInch_x (/DX=0)

Range of values [0-32767]
Horizontal dots per inch. This value will be written into the resulting image and allows a pixel exact print.
0: No setting of the image resolution.

DotsPerInch_y (/DY=0)

Range of values [0-32767]
Vertical dots per inch. This value will be written into the resulting image and allows a pixel exact print.
0: No setting of the image resolution.

CaptionText (/CA=Caption)

Range of values: characters
This text is printed into the frame below the images, if the frame is large enough (see FrameBottom).
If it is set CaptionText = __FILENAME__ , the current filename of the left image is used.
If it is set CaptionText = __DIRECTORY__ , the current directory name is used.
If it is set CaptionText = __DATE__ , the current date is used.
If it is set CaptionText = __IPTC__ , the content of IPTC.Headline is used for the text (only jpg or tif-images, for single images only the content of the left image is used).
If it is set CaptionText = __AWARD__ , the current directory name is used, which in this case must consist only of digits, and will be incremented by one with each image. This option allows the marking of images with consecutive numbers and is supposed for the use at image competitions (the first time used with the Cosima Award 2009 in Gmunden at the 17.th ISU Congress).
By appending __FONTFILE__FONTSIZE__FONTSTYLE__R#G#B__ to CaptionText, from the Windows\fonts directory the font FONTFILE.ttf with the font size specified by FONTSIZE is used. If FONTFILE also contains a character '_', this must also be taken into account. (Example: CaptionText = "Two Bumblebees__MG________50__" uses the text "Two Bumblebees", the Fontfile "MG______.ttf" (Win7) and the font size "50". FONTSTYLE is used to further modify the font type: FONTSTYLE = 00: normal, FONTSTYLE = 01: italic, FONTSTYLE = 10: bold, FONTSTYLE = 11: bold italic. R#G#B is the font color: R = red[0:255], G = green[0:255], B = blue[0:255]. # is a separator character.

Combinations and examples: Fontname and Fontsize can also be combined with the other settings.
ABC: The text "ABC" will be displayed with a standard font type (similar to Arial) and 4% of the image height.
ABC__COMICZ__48__10_: The text "ABC" will be displayed bold with the font COMICZ.TTF with font size 48.
__IPTC__: The text is read from the IPTC.Headline and displayed with a standard font type and 4% of the image height.
__IPTC__COMICZ__48__01__255#255#0__: The text is read from the IPTC.Headline and displayed italic with the font COMICZ.TTF, the font size 48 and the font color yellow (R = 255, G = 255, B = 0, red + green = yellow).

Simple control of the font size: If FONTSIZE is not explicitly specified, the fontsize can also be varied by prefixing control characters. By default the font size is set to 4% of the image height, it can be changed by prefixing '+' and '-' characters as follows:
'---': 1.4% of the image height
'--': 2.0% of the image height
'-': 2.8% of the image height
'+': 5.6% of the image height
'++': 8.0% of the image height
'+++': 11.3% of the image height

Examples:
+ABC: The text "ABC" is displayed normal with 5.6% of the image height.
++ABC__COMICZ__48__10__: The text "ABC" is displayed bold with font size 48, the control characters ++ are ignored.
-__IPTC__: The text is read from the IPTC.headline and displayed normally with 2.0% of the image height.
--__IPTC__COMICZ__48__00__: The text is read from the IPTC.headline and displayed normally with the font size 48, the control characters -- are ignored.

Font selection dialog:
To the right of the text field is a button labeled F that opens a font selection dialog. Here you can select the font type (FONTFILE), the font size (FONTSIZE), the font style (FONTSTYLE) and the font color (R#G#B).

ImageText (/IX=)

Range of values: characters
This text is printed into the lower right corner of the outputimage.
The modifications for ImageText are identical to those for CaptionText.

ExifCopyright (/EO=©me)

Range of values: characters
Allows to set an EXIF Copyright entry into the Exif.Image.Copyright-Parameter. Will be printed automatically into the upper right frame, if FrameTop is large enough.

DoPostCosima (/DP=REM...)

Range of values: characters
After the end of a Cosima run, further batch commands can be processed automatically. The following placeholders can be used:
#CA#: The last generated anaglyph image.
#CS#: The last generated side-by-side image.
#CM#: The last generated MPO image.
Example: With DoPostCosima = "C:\Program Files\IrfanView\i_view64.exe" "#CA#" /fs /one after the end of Cosima with IrfanView the last created anaglyph image will be displayed in fullscreen mode. (IrfanView knows many command line parameters, /fs stands for fullscreen, /one for only one instance. The quotes are needed to handle any spaces.)
Note: If more placeholders are needed, please contact me!
